Azilal Rugs

The Azilal rugs originate in the Alto Atlante area and are famous for their particular use of white and for the softness of their wool. They are associated with the use of cotton and other fibres used for decorative design.

As well as following regional symbology, these rugs often result from the inspiration of the women who create them. For this reason each rug may be considered a unique and unreproducible piece of art.

The materials used in Azilal rugs are always undyed wool, with a background of natural colour and lines of dark brown or natural black. The size is typically a little smaller than the Beni Ourain
