The Beni Ourain Berber carpets played a subtle yet significant role in the film 'House of Gucci,' directed by Ridley Scott and released in 2021, featuring leading actors such as Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, and Jeremy Irons.
The director unfolds the tale of the Gucci family, an ancient Florentine clan credited with the renowned fashion brand, delving into intricate family events that highlight their remarkable entrepreneurial and stylistic prowess, juxtaposed against their tumultuous and tragic private lives.
Afolki contributed his Beni Ourain carpets to the film's scenes, seamlessly complementing the vintage aesthetics of the 1970s.

Marrakech and Surroundings, Bassano del Grappa (December 2013)
This event was the fruit of the union of art and the creativity of Afolki, CasaLando and the artist Elio Armano.
The purpose of the event was to follow the history in production and use of Berber rugs through to modern times. The origin of the Berber rug making craft has its roots in Palaeolithic times and this same technique, passed down through generations, is the basis from which contemporary Berber rug makers work. From humble and ordinary origins, these rugs transform into refined pieces, perfectly at ease in contemporary settings.
