Boujad Rugs

Boujad are rugs of strong dyes, typical of a region ploughed over by centuries of conflict and with the great influence of Arab art.

Instead of the diamond shape common in other styles, these rugs feature squares of various sizes which give rise to shapes and coloured spaces. The result is a very modern effect, well suited to the accompaniment of modern interiors.

The dimension of Boujad rugs is typically with emphasis on length, they are therefore excellent as a hall runner and can also be small enough to use beside a bed or similar. The typical Berber workmanship makes them hard-wearing.
